"Birches" and why it's my favorite poem

I'd like to go by climbing a Birch tree, and climb black branches up a snow white trunk toward heaven, till the tree could bear no more, but dipped its top and set me down again. That would be good both going and coming back. One could do worse than be a swinger of birches. That is the end of my favorite poem. Climbing trees has always been something that I enjoyed doing as a young child. I can relate to this poem in so many ways. We all think about our childhood when we get older. We all wish we could still do the things we did when we were young. This poem talks about a man that want's a break from life but doesn't want that break to be permanent. Things don't work so well when you get older and things don't come as easy as they once did. He talks about climbing this Birch tree towards heaven but not actually going to heaven. He want's to climb high until the tree gives out and sets him back on the ground so he can do it over again. He talks about a break from life but not permanently because he is a lover of life. The man talks about a pathless wood which means that it is easy to get lost in life and lose your way. This is one of the reasons why the man wants a break from life. He is old and tired and not quite sure what his path in life is anymore. He wants to go back to the time when things were easy. Free of bills and responsibilities and the everyday stress of life. frost believed that the earth was a place for love that the world was loveless. He also explains how to swing from a birch. He believed that there was a special way to do it. If it wasn't done the right way, a branch might break. He explains swinging from a Birch tree as an art. Even though when a poet has a meaning in mind when he/she writes, everyone has their own interpretation of what it means to them. I like this poem because it says no matter how old we become, we are still young at heart. It talks about the better things in life. Something so simple as climbing a tree can be satisfying when you realize what life is all about. Forget my worries and the everyday stressors in life. I am going to climb this big, beautiful, Birch tree and forget even if it's for a moment. Beautiful analogies, beautiful poem.
