my best frend

My best friend is my boyfriend Kevin. I have known Kevin since I was 18 years old. About three years we reconnected through Facebook. He is the best thing that could of happened to my kids and I. He is thoughtful, kind, caring, and he loves me like I deserve to be loved! We like the same movies, we both like outdoor activities and we also believe in being honest no matter what the situation. We are also different in some ways. I like to talk about something or solve a problem and move on while he likes to dwell on things. He also believes in being a strict disciplinarian and I'm more laid back and I let my kids get away with way too much. Whatever the issue might be, we are able to talk through our differences and figure things out and that's all that matters. I am the luckiest girl ever because I have the best, best friend!

you don't own me

You don't own me anymore, them days have passed away! I get up at the crack of dawn anticipating a long day of work, just to get out of the house! At work everything is good at least on the surface. The last break comes and goes. butterflies in my stomach. Dreading what's to come. As I walk in the door there is much to be done. "I'm hungry" he says, "do laundry" he says, that doesn't include the load he woke me up at four in the morning to do, "I need my numbers played" he says, among many other things to keep me busy till night! Black eyes and bruises becoming a daily routine and hateful words that become unbearable! As I daydream of better things to come I find myself worth more than he will ever know and I smile inside! I make a choice to leave with nothing and start over to become something! Here I am doing all of the things that you would never let me do. Just to let you know, you did nothing I didn't allow you to do. I've had the power all along. It's my life and I took it back! You don't own me and you never did!

my mother the superhero

My mother is a Superhero! I've known this since I was young! I remember thinking wow she is amazing! She can juggle a bunch of things at once and I'm pretty sure she has six arms! So as you can imagine, her multitasking skills are superb! My mom can stay up for long periods of time as well! I remember, when she went to college, she would be up for days studying and doing homework and still manage to take care of four kids, 2 cats, 2 birds and a car that, in my opinion, looked more like a boat. The best super power she had was x ray vision! No matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't get away with anything! She would see right through me! I am so thankful for that because she made me who I am today! If I could be like anybody I would be like my mom, the Superhero!!!

Expensive Decisions

The decisions we make will affect our entire lives!! I was watching a program called "The Next 48" and I started to really think about this. There were young kids committing murder and robbing stores and there were people that went to prison for life just because they were present when a crime was committed! It's in that one split second when it counts the most. Peer pressure, a crush, drugs, and among many other reasons is why people tend to make the wrong decision. Someone had a bad day at home or there is abuse in the home or bullying at school or maybe it's even that we are all just human; Whatever the reason, it can and will affect our entire lives! It is so important to really think about what you are doing before you do it. Don't make rash decisions and don't make decisions based on what other people do or feel because when it comes down to it, the only one with a number is you!! 

Hermified

This weather makes me want to stay inside under the covers! You know that feeling when you first wake up and your toasty warm and you don't want to move? That is a wonderful feeling! I've got to give myself a pep talk every morning when I wake up just to get out of the bed. What makes it even worse is those big white flakes called snow, not only is it cold but it is also a pain in the butt to walk through! Then comes the wind! I can hear it whistling outside from underneath my covers and the only thing that comes to mind is, I think I will lie here a little bit longer. Oh, how I long for summer!!

Smoke And Mirrors

                                                  

The purpose of a commercial is to lure and reel us viewers in! The more enticing the commercial is, the more people want what the commercial is selling. What does a cherry have to do with a car; absolutely nothing, but most people love cherries. The more interesting the commercial is, the more people will remember it, therefore they will remember the product being sold. Advertisement is the main purpose of a commercial. It's the best way to get the product introduced to the public and make them want to run right out and buy what's being sold. They use everything from expensive cameras that that can add or remove things from the screen to microphones that can pick up the sound of a needle dropping. Special Effects is a big thing in movies these days! Commercials are very expensive to make, however they usually get the job done!

Fluffy white sweetness on top of brown tasty particles! Oh how I love your mounds of slippery, red, gooey goodness! Then of course I can't forget about what nobody can see, yellowish white and very tasty! This is my favorite by a long shot; bet you can't guess what I've got!!
